Aberlour Distillery

Speyside

Description:

The St Drostans Well, found in the grounds of the distillery hints to an ancient past when a driud community occupied the small valley where the Aberlour distillery is found. The name Aberlour comes from the Gaelic translation of "Mouth of the Chattering Burn." This place was the inspiration for James Fleming, founder of Aberlour to build a distillery here in 1879.
