Isle of Jura Distillery

Islands

Description:

Established in 1810, the distillery reopened in 1963 after six decades of closure, and in 1978 was enlarged from two to four stills. Jura's water, the secret of its whisky's unique lightness, rises crystal clear from the spring Bhaille Mharghaidh and runs over quartize and heather, to the distillery in the village of Craighouse below.
